The government has now implemented new requirements for international travelers, which include mandatory completion of a health form via the SatuSehat application. This measure is part of efforts to tighten health screenings at the country’s entry points, particularly at airports. The aim is to prevent the entry of new variants of Mpox or the monkeypox virus into Indonesia. Mpox is a zoonotic disease that can be transmitted from animals to humans and can also spread between humans.

1.Mandatory for Indonesian Citizens and Foreign Nationals Entering Indonesia

WNI) or foreign nationals (WNA), entering Indonesia are required to complete the electronic self-declaration form, namely the SatuSehat Health Pass. Strict screening is conducted due to the detection of the Clade Ib variant outside the African region. The Mpox Clade Ib virus is suspected to have a higher severity level, leading to faster transmission, including transmission to the child population. This latest requirement has been stipulated by the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through Circular Number: SE 5 DJPU of 2024, regarding the Use of the SatuSehat Health Pass for International Travelers
