The government has now implemented new requirements for international travelers, which include mandatory completion of a health form via the SatuSehat application. This measure is part of efforts to tighten health screenings at the country’s entry points, particularly at airports. The aim is to prevent the entry of new variants of Mpox or the monkeypox virus into Indonesia. Mpox is a zoonotic disease that can be transmitted from animals to humans and can also spread between humans.

So, what are the entry requirements for Indonesia, and how do you fill out the SatuSehat form? Let’s take a close look at the information below!

1.Mandatory for Indonesian Citizens and Foreign Nationals Entering Indonesia

WNI) or foreign nationals (WNA), entering Indonesia are required to complete the electronic self-declaration form, namely the SatuSehat Health Pass. Strict screening is conducted due to the detection of the Clade Ib variant outside the African region. The Mpox Clade Ib virus is suspected to have a higher severity level, leading to faster transmission, including transmission to the child population. This latest requirement has been stipulated by the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through Circular Number: SE 5 DJPU of 2024, regarding the Use of the SatuSehat Health Pass for International Travelers

2. Complete the form prior to the flight.

In accordance with the circular, all airlines operating international flights are required to take measures to prevent the spread of Mpox in Indonesia. Passengers must complete the SatuSehat Health Pass either before or during check-in at the airport. This is to prevent congestion at the country’s entry points. The electronic self-declaration form for the SatuSehat Health Pass can be filled out online via the website sshp.kemkes.go.id, so travelers do not need to download a new application.

Passengers simply need to fill out the available form. Once completed, a barcode containing the passenger’s health and travel history will be generated. This barcode will be scanned by airport staff at the arrival gate. After the barcode is scanned, passengers are advised to keep it stored.

If a passenger becomes ill within 21 days of traveling abroad, especially from an endemic country or region, they must immediately seek treatment at the nearest healthcare facility. Additionally, they are required to present the SatuSehat Health Pass barcode to the healthcare personnel.

3. How to Fill Out the SatuSehat Form

Here are the steps to fill out the SatuSehat Health Pass for international travelers.

1). Open the website sshp.kemkes.go.id, then click ‘Start’.

2). Select your preferred language.

3). Complete all the forms provided.

4). Once the form is completed, a QR code will appear; take a screenshot or keep the page open until it is successfully scanned by the staff.
